Aunt Grace’s 80th

I really thought I would have a nice, relaxing summer but turns out I am busy every weekend!!! Two weekends ago I went with my parents to go to my Great Aunt Grace’s “surprise” birthday party. Aunt Grace didn’t consider it a surprise party because she “pretty much planned most of it” but we still surprised her by coming. She didn’t think anyone would show up, but we ended up having to bring in more tables and chairs to fit everyone!

The trip out there was also an adventure – I have not spent that much time (14 hours) so close (in a car) with my parents in a LONG time! We found entertainment in the smallest of things. For example, I got Rosholt’s zip code on my odometer, and yes, I stopped to take a photo. Grandpa would be proud.
